Vi launches four voice-only recharge plans, cheapest at Rs 179

Telecom company Vodafone Idea (Vi) has launched four new voice-only recharge plans for its users. The company has also made the plans live on its website. None of the four plans includes data; they are meant only for calling and SMS.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) recently issued an order asking telecom companies to bring out voice-only recharge plans without data. Vi has introduced these plans in compliance with that order. Following the TRAI order, other telecom companies have also begun launching such voice-only plans.

The cheapest of the plans costs Rs 179 and the most expensive Rs 206. The two plans in between cost Rs 189 and Rs 203.

The Rs 179 plan offers unlimited calls, a validity of 25 days and a total of 300 SMS. It also gives access to the Vi Movies & TV app, through which subscribers can stream free content.

The second plan costs Rs 189. Customers get unlimited calling and 300 SMS, with a validity of 28 days. This plan does not include access to the Vi Movies & TV app.

The third plan costs Rs 203 and has a validity of 30 days. Users get unlimited calling and an SMS quota.

Vi's most expensive plan costs Rs 206. It offers a full month's validity, unlimited calling and a quota of 300 SMS. Like the Rs 189 and Rs 203 packs, the Rs 206 pack does not include access to the Vi Movies & TV app.
