Vastu Shastra is held in high regard in India. Many people decide how to build a house, where to place the door and where to keep the kitchen by consulting it. The reason is that everyone wants positive energy in the home and wants all to go well.

Sometimes, however, we make mistakes unknowingly and negative energy enters the home. This leads to quarrels, money not staying in the house and obstacles in work. Vastu Shastra says that while walking along a road we see certain things lying there and pick them up and bring them home. This is the biggest mistake. The scriptures say that not everything lying on the road should be brought home.

Why should things not be picked up from the road? People of every kind pass along a road. There is good energy there as well as bad energy. A thing lying on the road has been touched by all that energy. Some things have been thrown away deliberately, while others are from a puja ritual. If such things are picked up and brought home, their bad energy also comes into the house. Then quarrels break out at home for no reason and money becomes tight. So, whatever you see lying on the road, do not hurry to pick it up.

The first item is puja articles. Flowers, garlands, coconuts and lemons marked with kumkum are sometimes seen lying on the road. At crossroads, a great deal of such material is left. Do not touch these things even by mistake. It is believed that someone has left them on the road to get rid of the troubles in their own home. If you bring them home, their troubles may come to your house.

The second item is broken jewellery or iron. If you find a broken earring, an iron object, a needle or a nail on the road, do not bring it home either. According to Vastu Shastra, keeping broken things at home brings Vastu dosh. Broken things carry more negative energy. So if you see such an item, leave it where it is.

The third item is hair or a comb. Sometimes a clump of hair or a comb is seen lying on the road. Do not bring such things home at all. It is believed that hair holds negative energy, so illness may enter the home.

The fourth item is money or coins. Most people make this mistake. As soon as they see money lying on the road, people pick it up immediately. But Vastu Shastra says that picking up money from the road displeases Goddess Lakshmi. Someone may have left that money to rid themselves of their troubles. By picking it up, you take their troubles upon yourself.

The fifth item is clothes. Do not bring home clothes lying on the road, especially black or torn ones, even by mistake. They may carry the evil eye. In short, whatever is lying on the road, however good or expensive it may look, do not bring it home. The peace and happiness of your home matter more.
