Two cousins from Moračd killed after motorcycle hits tractor near Borvihir in Dhule

A serious road accident near Borvihir village, close to Dhule city, has shaken the whole of Dhule taluka. The accident took place at night and claimed the lives of two cousins from Moraad village. One died on the spot, while the other succumbed during treatment.

Vinod Shama Bagul and his cousin Sagar Kashinath Bagul, who was also a social worker, residents of Moraad, had come to Dhule city on their motorcycle for some court work. Both belonged to the same family and had set out together. After finishing all the legal work, the two were returning to Moraad on the motorcycle.

At night, as they reached the toll plaza area of Borvihir village near Dhule city, they suddenly lost control of the motorcycle. The speeding motorcycle rammed into a tractor ahead of it from behind. The impact was so severe that Vinod Bagul died on the spot and his cousin Sagar Bagul was seriously injured.

Local residents and police reached the spot immediately after the accident and admitted the injured Sagar Bagul to a local hospital. But he too breathed his last during treatment this morning. On learning of the death of two cousins from the same household, relatives and villagers gathered at the hospital in large numbers.

Police reached the spot on being informed and drew up a panchnama. Legal proceedings to register a case against the tractor driver, who has been held responsible for the accident, have been initiated, which means the police have taken the formal action in the case forward.

Accidents are rising in the state, and particularly in the Dhule area, and many innocent people are losing their lives. The memory of a recent accident in Ahilyanagar district was still fresh when this latest incident came to light. Moraad village is plunged in deep grief at the death of two able young men from one family.
