Students preparing for JEE Main 2027 need good study material and mock tests. Many want to study without joining an expensive coaching class but do not know where to find reliable content. Several online platforms offer free video lectures, practice questions and mock tests.

The first option is the National Test Abhyas app. Reading books alone is not enough for JEE Main preparation; students must also practise solving questions within a fixed time. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has built the app for students preparing for competitive examinations.

On this platform, students can take mock tests in the computer-based test (CBT) format. This gives them the feel of the actual examination and shows them how to solve questions in limited time. Mock tests can be downloaded and practised offline, so study does not stop even when internet access is a problem. Details are available on the NTA's official website, nta.ac.in.

The second option is SATHEE, which stands for Self Assessment, Test and Help for Entrance Exams. It is an initiative of the Ministry of Education and IIT Kanpur, aimed at giving students preparing for competitive examinations free study support.

Students get video lectures, mock tests and online sessions to clear doubts. Those preparing for JEE Advanced along with JEE Main can use it too. Students can identify their weak areas from home and work again on subjects they find difficult. Crash courses for JEE Main preparation are also offered. Information on new courses and sessions is available on the official website, sathee.iitk.ac.in.

The third option is IIT-PAL. To score well in JEE Main, concepts in physics, chemistry and mathematics must be firm. If a subject is hard to follow, IIT-PAL's video lectures can help.

IIT-PAL stands for IIT Professor Assisted Learning. It makes lectures by IIT professors and subject experts available to students. It aims to help Class 11 and Class 12 students grasp key concepts and prepare for competitive examinations. Lectures in physics, chemistry and mathematics can be watched topic-wise, and any topic can be revisited at a convenient time. The lectures are also broadcast on the Swayam Prabha channel. The available content can be viewed on the official website, iitpal.iitd.ac.in.

Artificial intelligence (AI) tools can also be used for study these days. With their help, students can make a study plan, understand difficult subjects in simple language and find easy ways to remember a concept. If a physics question is unclear, an AI tool can be asked to explain the answer step by step. Extra questions can be generated on a mathematics topic for practice. However, answers given by AI should not be accepted blindly. It is better to check answers to mathematics and science questions against textbooks or reliable study material.

Preparation is not complete by only watching videos or taking mock tests. After every test, students must understand their mistakes and work again on weak subjects. With regular study, a sound strategy and constant practice, these free online resources can be put to good use.
