Son of slain Thane Sena (UBT) leader to fast outside Shinde's home over lack of justice

The firing on actor Tiger Shroff's car has caused a stir. The question being raised is what happens to the safety of ordinary citizens if Bollywood stars are shot at in a city like Mumbai. Meanwhile, a different issue has started a discussion in state politics.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had promptly gone to ask after Tiger Shroff's health. Citing this, Ram Purnekar, son of the late Thackeray faction divisional chief (vibhagpramukh) Pradeep Purnekar in Thane, has expressed strong anger. He alleges that despite repeatedly pursuing justice in the case of Pradeep Purnekar's death, no concrete action is being taken.

According to Ram Purnekar, his home is only 20 minutes from Eknath Shinde's house. He asked why, when there was immediate action in Tiger Shroff's case, no one took the initiative to ask after his family and assure them of justice.

Ram Purnekar said, "My father was also a Shiv Sainik. After his death, no one came to understand the pain of our family. We do not want words of sympathy, we want justice."

Referring to the case of the death of his father Pradeep Purnekar, Ram Purnekar questioned the investigation and the arrest of the accused. He claimed there is evidence against some people and asked why no action is being taken against them.

He mentioned the questioning of Papya Shinde and Raja Shinde and demanded that the police take appropriate steps against the remaining suspects as well.

Ram Purnekar has now warned of taking the path of agitation. He announced that after Dussehra he will sit on a relay hunger strike outside Eknath Shinde's house. He also said he intends to continue the agitation until the accused are arrested and the family gets justice.

Expressing his anger, he said, "My mother has been made a widow. What about the feelings of our family?"
