Six-year-old Aarya swims 17 km from Atal Setu to Gateway of India in 3 hours 51 minutes

Aarya Niki Thinnaluri, a resident of Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, has swum 17 km in the Arabian Sea, a feat that is being widely talked about. Aarya is only 6 years, 4 months and 20 days old.

She swam from Atal Setu to the Gateway of India in Mumbai, covering the distance in 3 hours 51 minutes. The effort is being counted as a record, and the young swimmer is being praised from across the country.

Swimming in the sea is not easy. There are waves and currents, and conditions keep changing. It is considered harder than swimming in a pool. Aarya swam the distance continuously, and her confidence, determination and perseverance have been especially appreciated.
