Maharashtra BJP state president Ravindra Chavan marked his birthday this year away from political celebrations, choosing instead to spend it on social work. Several religious, social and welfare programmes were held across the state on the occasion, during which senior BJP office bearers, workers and ordinary citizens greeted him in person, over the phone and through social media.

Chavan began his birthday with a visit to the Shri Ganesh temple in Dombivli. He then went with his family to the "Janani Ashish" orphanage, the "Aaplan Ghar" old-age home and the "Dombivlikar New Force Academy," where he celebrated his birthday simply with the residents and trainees there.

To mark the occasion, several welfare schemes were carried out across the state as part of social responsibility drives. Free grain was distributed to the needy and bicycles were given to students. Solar panels were distributed to promote alternatives to conventional energy, while young people were given driving licences and helmets for safety.

Senior citizen certificates were issued to elderly residents. Washing machines and other essential items were delivered to old-age homes. Major blood donation camps were also organised at several places as part of health-related welfare work.

At a gathering of the "Dombivlikar Ek Sanskritik Parivar" group, women performed a traditional aarti for Chavan and celebrated the occasion with local residents. Felicitation events were held at public contact offices across the constituency, where women office bearers performed aarti and BJP corporators, office bearers and workers extended greetings. Several BJP offices in Kalyan Dombivli were also inaugurated on the occasion, where young Gen Z boys and girls greeted him with roses.

Skill Development and Employment Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, MLA Mahendra Thorve, MLA Prashant Thakur, volunteers of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), BJP office bearers and many citizens came in person to extend greetings.

The birthday brought together religious faith, social responsibility, participation of young people and respect for the elderly. On the occasion, Ravindra Chavan said the trust, warmth and affection shown by the public would give him further strength to continue working for the people.
