Ramlila actor playing Ravana loses his temper after slipper hits him during rehearsal

Preparations for Dussehra are under way across the country, and Ramlila performances are being staged in many places. In a Ramlila, artistes play Ravana, Ram and Sita to show people what happened in ancient times, how Ravana was slain and what the main purpose behind the festival is. A light-hearted video from one such Ramlila has now been shared on social media, in which Ravana is seen losing his temper.

The video shows artistes rehearsing on a Ramlila stage. The actor playing Ravana is delivering his dialogue in a deep voice when a slipper suddenly flies in from the front and hits him directly. The unexpected incident changes the mood on the stage in an instant.

As soon as the slipper strikes him, the actor playing Ravana flares up. He abandons his dialogue and demands an answer from whoever threw it. He also tells other artistes on stage, who are playing soldiers, to catch the man and bring him. The scene of the Ramlila suddenly takes a different turn.

In the video, the person who threw the slipper says he did it only as a joke. But this angers the actor playing Ravana even more. Expressing his displeasure, he says, "We are Ravana, not some roadside thieves."

The video is going viral on social media, and users are enjoying it. Many users wrote in a jocular vein, "Brother Ravana is absolutely right." The video was shared from an X account named @Brijeshyadav38. It has been viewed by more than 30,000 people so far.

A Ramlila usually shows off Ravana's might, but here a single slipper made Lankesh lose his cool. A slipper was thrown at Ravana during the rehearsal, and he then delivered a line that left netizens in splits. The amusing video is for now the talk of social media.
