Railway Recruitment Board invites applications for 1,215 station master posts; last date November 25

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued the official notification for station master posts. A total of 1,215 vacancies across various zones of Indian Railways will be filled. It is a good opportunity for candidates preparing for railway jobs.

The online application process has begun. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official website till November 25, 2026.

On eligibility, applicants must hold a degree from a recognised university. The age should be between 20 and 33 years. As per government rules, candidates from the SC, ST, OBC and other reserved categories will get relaxation in the upper age limit.

On pay, the notification states that selected candidates will receive a basic pay of Rs 35,400 as per Level 6 of the 7th Pay Commission.

A medical standard has also been fixed for the post. Candidates must meet the A-2 medical category. The tests include distant and near vision without glasses, as well as colour vision.

On fees, the application fee for General and other category candidates is Rs 500. Of this, Rs 400 will be refunded after deducting bank charges once the candidate appears in the computer-based test (CBT). For women, transgender candidates, ex-servicemen, SC, ST, minority and economically backward class (EBC) candidates, the fee is Rs 250, which will be refunded in full after they take the examination.

The selection process will have several stages: a single-stage CBT, a computer-based aptitude test (CBAT), document verification and a medical test. The examination will be held entirely on computer.
