Hoardings and posters reading "We Will Kill Trump" have appeared at squares in the Iranian capital as US midterm voting got under way, according to the information available.

A sensational incident has been reported from Tehran, the Iranian capital, even as the United States is in the midst of midterm elections. Hoardings and posters threatening to kill US President Donald Trump have been put up at Enghelab Square in the city. This comes amid talk that Trump's party and his policies have suffered a heavy setback.

According to the information available, large banners and posters were displayed at major squares in Tehran. They carry the text "We Will Kill Trump" in English. The poster shows Trump behind iron bars, that is, imprisoned, and he appears to be standing in a dejected posture.

Not only that, the poster also carries photographs of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, marked with a cross. It is being said that the incident could further worsen the already strained relations between the US and Iran.

Along with the posters, a satirical video has also been shared from some official and affiliated Iranian social media accounts. It shows Trump being thrown into a garbage bin. The video also shows Democratic Party leaders dragging Trump out of the White House. Sharp anger is being expressed globally over this act by Iran.

According to a post by a user on X, the large hoarding was put up at Enghelab Square on November 3, 2026, the day of voting in the US. It reads "We Will Kill Trump" and shows Trump standing behind bars with his head bowed. The post further says that a nearby exhibition shows bloodied faces of Trump, J. D. Vance, Steve Witkoff and Netanyahu, torn clothes, and torn American and Israeli flags. Dozens of people had gathered in the square waving red flags and carrying placards reading "There will be blood", and were demanding revenge for the death of Khamenei, who was killed in the US-Israeli strikes of February 28, the post says.

According to the same post, images of Trump's bloodied face under a foot, and with a bomb on the face, have been put up at Tajrish Square. A human-sized prison cell has also been set up there, with an artist playing Trump locked inside. The post also says the hoardings went up on the morning after US strikes on Qeshm Island, with Qatar mediating and Trump saying a deal "could happen".

Analysts say inflation in the country has been the biggest issue behind voters' anger at Trump's party in the midterms. Ordinary Americans are troubled by rising inflation and the prices of essential goods. Voters were unhappy with the Trump administration's efforts to rein in inflation. The conflict with Iran also pushed up fuel and energy prices in the global market, which directly hit the US economy.

Trump had made big promises of curbing inflation during the campaign, but the public did not put much faith in them. After these developments, Trump said in an interview that he currently has no plan for direct military action against Iran. He said the US would first hold diplomatic talks with Iran and only then take any further tough decision. He has also announced a cut in the roughly $4 billion annual financial aid the US provides to Israel.
