Pigeon India launches two baby wipes, one for skin and one for surfaces
Pigeon has introduced Face & Body Baby Wipes and Anti-Bacterial Wipes, built on the idea that different jobs need different wipes.
Pigeon has launched two new wipes built on a single idea: different jobs need different wipes (#DifferentJobsNeedDifferentWipes). One is meant for a baby's skin, the other for the things and surfaces around the baby every day.
Parents often use one pack of baby wipes for everything on a long road trip, from a teether that falls on the car floor to a high chair at a rest stop to the baby's face. The company says this habit persisted because the shelf offered no better option.
The first product is Pigeon Face & Body Baby Wipes, meant for a baby's face, hands and body. It uses 100% food-grade ingredients, so it can be used safely around the baby's mouth. The sheet is made of 100% biodegradable, plant-based fabric that is soft on a newborn's skin. The formula contains aloe vera and has a skin-friendly pH of 5.5. It is fully fragrance-free and has no alcohol, parabens, SLS/SLES or phthalates. Each wipe measures 20x20 cm, larger than most common wipes, so bigger messes after meals can be cleaned with fewer sheets. The range has been tested by paediatricians and dermatologists for skin and eye safety.
The second is Pigeon Anti-Bacterial Wipes, meant for toys, strollers, high chairs and surfaces near the diaper-changing area. It is designed to kill 99.9% of germs on contact. It has no alcohol and uses food-grade ingredients, so a surface remains safe if the baby touches it right after wiping. The formula contains Biolin P, tea tree extract and lemon oil, with no separately added fragrance, and it has also been tested by paediatricians and dermatologists.
Used together, the two wipes give parents softness for the skin and dependable germ protection for everything around the baby, without giving up one for the other.
For a baby, touching something and putting it in the mouth are almost the same. A spoon dropped on the floor can be back in the mouth within seconds, and a stroller bar held by half the household soon reaches small hands. A wipe soft enough for a newborn's face was never made to disinfect a high chair tray properly, and one strong enough for the tray was not meant for a baby's lips. Pigeon says it has addressed this mismatch with two separate formulas.
Pigeon Face & Body Baby Wipes and Pigeon Anti-Bacterial Wipes are now available.
