Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe visited the APMC police station during Ganeshotsav, where an idol of Ganpati Bappa had been installed. He offered prayers with great enthusiasm and performed an aarti. On the occasion, he wished all the police officers, staff and Ganesh mandal office bearers present a heartfelt Ganeshotsav greeting.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kharat and Assistant Commissioner of Police for the Vashi division, Adinath Budhawant, were also present at the event. After offering prayers, the senior officers viewed a special social awareness display prepared by the APMC police station.

The display was prepared under the supervision of Senior Police Inspector Abasaheb Patil of the APMC police station. It carried messages on rising cyber crime, precautions people should take during online transactions, the fatal harm caused by narcotics, and building a safer society. Commissioner Milind Bharambe said the initiative to use the platform of a religious festival to spread awareness in society deserved praise, and he commended it warmly.

Several police commissioners have served in Navi Mumbai, but the campaign against narcotics and public awareness against cyber crime have gained new direction during Milind Bharambe's tenure.
