Nagpur youth attacked with steel drum, threatened with knife over old POCSO case and money dispute
A man was assaulted in Nagpur on October 11 by an accused who is out on bail in a POCSO case lodged by the complainant's sister-in-law.
Nagpur: A youth was attacked in a feud that has continued since a case of molestation of a minor was registered.
The accused, 25-year-old Imran Ansari, had been in a dispute over money with the complainant's brother. The dispute began after a POCSO case was filed by the complainant's wife. The accused had come out of jail on bail in the case in March.
On the evening of October 11, the complainant was walking home from Ansar Nagar when the accused approached him and began quarrelling over the old money. He also asked him to withdraw the old case. An argument broke out between the two over this.
The accused began beating the complainant and struck him on the head with a steel drum. He also threatened to kill him, brandishing a knife. The complainant was injured.
