MLA Munganitwar's push pays off, new power centre approved for Rajoli
A separate electricity distribution centre has been sanctioned for Rajoli in Chandrapur district after MLA Sudhir Munganitwar's sustained lobbying.
Residents of Rajoli and the surrounding area in Chandrapur district will no longer have to travel far for electricity-related work. The state government has given official approval for a separate electricity distribution centre in the area. The new Rajoli electricity distribution centre will be set up by splitting the Mul city and Mul rural branch offices, easing a major inconvenience for local residents.
MLA Sudhir Munganitwar had pursued the demand for a long time. Until now, residents of Rajoli and the surrounding area had to depend on the office at Mul for new power connections, technical issues, maintenance and repair, and other services, which meant travelling long distances. Taking note of this difficulty, Munganitwar had persistently pressed the demand for a separate centre with the chief minister and the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company.
Taking note of this effort, approval was granted to split the Mul city and Mul rural branch offices and set up a new electricity distribution centre office at Rajoli. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis sent a letter to Munganitwar on August 31, 2026 conveying this information. Munganitwar has thanked Chief Minister Fadnavis for this important decision.
With the new centre, residents of the Rajoli area will now be able to raise electricity distribution complaints and issues at the local level. Power supply faults, maintenance and repair, new connections and customer service issues will now be resolved more quickly. The main objective behind the effort was that residents should not have to travel long distances for their problems and that these should be resolved quickly at the local level.
Prioritising issues linked to residents' daily lives and pursuing them consistently with the concerned department and the government until resolved is known as a hallmark of Munganitwar's work. The approval for the Rajoli electricity distribution centre is being seen as the result of this sustained effort.
