The life story of Sadguru Shri Satam Maharaj, revered in the Konkan, will be seen on the big screen for the first time. The upcoming Marathi film is titled 'Danolishwar: Sadguru Shri Satam Maharaj'. The poster of the film was recently launched on social media, and curiosity about the film has grown since.

The film will attempt to present Maharaj's spiritual life, his teachings and his work to audiences. Director Viraj Raje has said the aim behind the film is to take the life work, teachings and spiritual thought of Sadguru Shri Satam Maharaj to as many people as possible.

The film is being produced jointly by Mahakali Production and Smita Creations. Milind Sawant, Sushma Milind Ghogale Sawant and Smita Ghag are the producers, while Ranjit Vitthal Chavan is the co-producer. Parag Kulkarni has written the film with reference to the book 'Danolishwar' by Kamalvallabhdas. Viraj Raje will handle direction.

The film has received the blessings of Sadguru Chitnis Baba (Dr Shashikant Chitnis) and Pu. Pu. Balumama Dalvi (Shirsangi). It will also have the cooperation of the trustees and executive committee of the Danoli Samadhi Mandir Trust, Babi Deole, Shrimant Sarkar Khemraj Shivram Raje Sawant Bhosale and the Danoli Bazar Tarun Mandal.

Samarth Shankar Satam Maharaj was born in 1884 on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. His journey began from Mumbai as that of an ordinary person and later took a spiritual turn. After travelling across India, he turned towards the sacred land of the Konkan. His spiritual journey found stability in Danoli village in the Sawantwadi area.

Devotees believe Maharaj performed many miracles during his stay there until 1937. He tried to guide devotees in distress and help them rebuild their lives, and to teach society human values. Even after he took samadhi at Danoli, the faith of devotees remains undiminished.

Films based on the lives of saints and spiritual figures have been made in Marathi cinema before. 'Danolishwar' will now be added to that list. After the poster was released, audiences have become curious about the story of the film.

The names of the cast have not yet been announced. The producers have kept secret which actor will play the lead role of Sadguru Shri Satam Maharaj, so audiences are eager to know who has been chosen. All eyes are on what the producers announce next about the cast and the release date.
