The teaser and a song from the upcoming Marathi film were released at an event in Pune, where Manoj Joshi's look as the film's godman was also unveiled.
The upcoming Marathi film "Maharashtra Epstein Files" has been in the news since it was announced. Prominent people from several fields, including political circles, are watching it closely. The film attempts to bring to the screen alleged controversial events linked to the politics and society of Maharashtra. People are asking whose masks will slip, whose secrets will come out and whose dealings behind the scenes will be exposed. The title itself hints at mystery, and speculation is rife about the characters and their alleged real-life references.
The film's song "Captain aap, main nauka, aapke pyar ka table tka..." has now been released, along with a teaser and the first poster of the alleged godman. This has caused a stir and anticipation for the film has reached a peak. The film is presented by Anandi Pictures Amravati and Sachin Rode Patil. It has been made under the banner of Matoshri Entertainment World. Devendra Bhat, Suryakant Bhunde and Prashant Kadampure have handled production.
Director Swaroop Sawant has used the film to expose the fraudulent godmen who operate in society, and speaks plainly about such tendencies. The story, screenplay and dialogues are by Sanjay Navgire, while the concept is by Sagarkumar S. Jain.
The song was released at a grand event at the Lemon Tree Hotel in Pune. The look of the film's alleged godman was also unveiled at the same event. The lyrics are by Sanjay Navgire, the music by Rohit Nagbhide and the vocals by Mugdha Karhade. The words of the song carry hints, the tunes are playful and the beat has a sharp edge of satire, so it is not limited to entertainment. Through the metaphors of "captain" and "boat", it attempts a witty comment on leadership, opportunism and relationships that revolve around power. Choreography is by Sahil Shah, and Tania Chatterjee danced to the song.
The godman's look is drawing as much attention as the song. For some days a mysterious poster showing a figure from behind had aroused curiosity among audiences. Now the face has been revealed. The poster had read: "The controversial face hidden behind the curtain is being exposed...!!! Soon." That has proved true. Manoj Joshi's look in this role is completely different, and he drew everyone's attention by making his entry at the event in this getup.
It is now clear that actor Manoj Joshi will play the godman shown from behind in the poster. Actress Dipali Sayed will play an important role opposite him, and her look had already been revealed. Because Manoj Joshi's face had been deliberately hidden, curiosity had remained about the nature of his character and the secrets of this godman that the story would open up.
The film's cast in important roles includes Manoj Joshi, Dipali Sayed, Subodh Bhave, Uday Tikekar, Akshay Tanksale, Madhuri Pawar, Suresh Vishwakarma, Bharat Ganeshpure, Anil Nagarkar, Monika, Shivraj Walvekar, Siddheshwar Zadbukke, Shreya Kulkarni and Rahul Belapurkar. Cinematography is by Akash Kakade and art direction by Akshay Ambekar. Costumes are by Apeksha Gandhi Soni. Neha Ghodke is production controller, Sachin Ghanwat is production head, Yash Sanas is line producer and Vijay Mhaske is production manager.
