Actress Medha Manjrekar had revealed a few days ago on social media that she had been diagnosed with cancer. After treatment, she is now beating the disease and starting a new lease of life. Her husband, well-known director and actor Mahesh Manjrekar, has now spoken about her illness for the first time.

Mahesh Manjrekar is currently in the news for his upcoming film "Bandhkhor". He and his team are busy with the film's promotion, and during this period he spoke about Medha Manjrekar's health in an interview.

In an interview, Mahesh Manjrekar spoke about Medha's illness. He said Medha also had a role in the film, but after her cancer was detected and treatment began, her hair started falling out.

Saying that her treatment and therapy are ongoing, Mahesh Manjrekar said Medha's health is now fine. "We are not afraid of cancer. I too am an example in front of her," he said.

Speaking about his own experience with cancer, Mahesh Manjrekar said he does not consider his own cancer to be anything separate or special, adding that many people, from small children to young adults, have to face cancer.

He also said that medicines and medical facilities are available today for cancer treatment, and said his view is to face the disease calmly rather than with fear.

Mahesh Manjrekar also said very few people knew about Medha Manjrekar's illness. He said clearly that he does not want anyone's sympathy.

He said that after treatment, Medha's hair has grown thick again and her boy-cut look is also looking good.

Actress Medha Manjrekar had revealed in early July that she had been diagnosed with cancer, and had also shared in her post who stood by her and how she got through that difficult period.

Since Mahesh Manjrekar has now spoken about Medha's illness for the first time, his comments have drawn attention.
