Karbonn launches Rebel Pro and Rebel smartphones in India, both priced under Rs 15,000

Indian tech company Karbonn has launched two new smartphones, the Karbonn Rebel Pro and the Karbonn Rebel, to compete with companies such as Samsung and Vivo. With the launch, the company has made another entry into the Indian market. Both phones are priced below Rs 15,000, placing them in India's budget segment.

The Karbonn Rebel Pro is priced at Rs 12,499, while the standard Rebel model costs Rs 11,999. Sales of both smartphones begin on November 4. Customers can buy them on the e-commerce platform Amazon.

Both phones come with a MediaTek Helio processor and a large battery. The company will provide major Android OS upgrades for two years and regular security patches for two years on both devices. They also have a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is rarely seen in new smartphones these days.

The Karbonn Rebel Pro has a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and 720 nits of brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 processor and has a 6,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support. For photography, the Pro model has a 64MP primary camera, along with a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

The standard Karbonn Rebel has a 6.75-inch HD+ display. It also has the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset and a 7,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The phone has a 50MP primary camera.
