Ruksar Chaudhary alleges her husband evicted her and their four children and that in-laws assaulted her; Kolshewadi police have booked the in-laws.
A case of domestic violence has come to light in Kolshewadi, Kalyan East. Ruksar Chaudhary alleges that after 16 years together, her husband threw her out of the house along with their four children.
According to the allegation, her husband's behaviour has forced Ruksar to beg to feed the children. She also alleges that her in-laws assaulted her.
Ruksar says she was married in 2010 to Mustafa Chaudhary, who lives in the Vitthalwadi area of Kalyan East. They have four children. She now alleges that her husband has driven her and the children out of the house.
Ruksar said her husband tells her: "I married you because Mother made me swear an oath. I do not like you. I do not want to live with you."
After she was thrown out, the entire responsibility of raising the four children fell on Ruksar. She says she has to beg to feed them.
Ruksar also alleges that when she goes to her in-laws' home to demand her rights, they beat her and her children. A video of this alleged assault has gone viral on social media. The matter drew public attention only after the video surfaced and the incident began to be discussed.
Kolshewadi police have registered a case against the in-laws on the basis of the assault allegations.
Ruksar Chaudhary demands that the matter not end with the registration of a case, and that firm action be taken against the accused. She has appealed for justice for herself and her four children.
