Nagpur: Police have arrested two more accused in the case of a 14-year-old boy who died in a fatal attack over an old enmity in the Jaripatka area. The two had been absconding and police had been searching for them.

Crime Branch Unit-3 arrested Ritik Sanjay Usarbarse, 21, and Lucky Ashok Chewale, 19. With these two arrests, a total of 10 accused have been arrested in the case so far. They include two minors.

According to the police, the incident took place on the night of September 24. A group of 10 to 12 people attacked the boy and a friend of his near Ginger Mall at Jaripatka Chowk. Both were seriously injured in the attack.

Both were taken to Mayo Hospital for treatment. There, doctors declared the 14-year-old dead during treatment. His friend is still undergoing treatment.

The investigation found that about three months ago a birthday party was held at Vaishali Nagar Garden, and a dispute broke out during that party. According to the investigation, the same old enmity led to another dispute at Jaripatka Chowk, which turned violent.

Before these two arrests, police had arrested eight accused. Two minors are among those eight as well. Thus eight arrested earlier and two now make a total of 10 accused in police custody.

After catching the two absconding accused, Crime Branch Unit-3 had them medically examined. They were then handed over to Jaripatka police for further legal action. Police said the investigation into the case is continuing.
