Quick commerce platform Instamart has tied up with Kalyan Jewellers, offering a free 1-gram silver coin to the first 1,000 gold coin buyers each day from November 1 to 6.
Ahead of Dhanteras, quick commerce platform Instamart has partnered with Kalyan Jewellers through its sellers. Under the tie-up, customers can now buy Kalyan Jewellers gold coins on Instamart, and buyers may get some extra benefits with their purchase.
Under the offer, between November 1 and 6, the first 1,000 customers each day across the country to buy a Kalyan Jewellers gold coin on Instamart will get a 1-gram silver coin free. In addition, every Kalyan Jewellers gold coin purchase will bring a free digital discount voucher worth the price of a 5-gram silver coin. Terms and conditions apply. The offer is valid until December 31, 2026, and will be available at Kalyan Jewellers stores across the country.
Dhanteras is the first day of the Diwali celebrations. The partnership aims to give customers an easy way to buy precious metals before Dhanteras. Buying gold and silver on Dhanteras is considered auspicious and is believed to bring prosperity and good fortune. During the festive season, Instamart will offer a wide variety of gold coins weighing 0.5 gram to 10 grams and silver coins weighing 1 gram to 100 grams.
The partnership comes as Instamart becomes an easy go-to for customers buying gold and silver coins for special occasions and gifts. Over the past twelve months, products ranging from 0.5-gram gold coins to 1-kg silver bars have been added to the platform. Gold purchases rose 258% year on year, while silver purchases rose 185%, which shows growing demand for precious metals on the platform.
Instamart's gold and silver buying trend in 2026 shows which cities have the most demand. Bengaluru leads the country, followed by Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Coimbatore, Indore, Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam. One customer in Bengaluru bought gold worth Rs 2,52,459 within a few hours on a single day. The purchase included five 50-gram silver bars and several gold coins with Ganesh, Lakshmi-Ganesh and swastika designs.
Last Dhanteras, gold purchases on Instamart grew by more than 400% over the year before. A similar trend was seen this year on Akshaya Tritiya, when gold purchases on Instamart rose by about 50%, and coins of 0.5 gram, 1 gram and 2 grams were the most popular.
Last Dhanteras, markets such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi and Chennai led demand. This shows how customers are turning to quick commerce to buy gold on auspicious occasions. Lighter coins are also giving customers an easier option for making festivals special.
