IIM Mumbai invites applications for 15 academic associate posts, pay up to Rs 70,000 a month

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has announced recruitment on a contract basis for the post of "Academic Associate" across different academic areas and programmes. Online applications have been invited from interested and eligible candidates. The last date to apply is October 13, 2026. As the recruitment is on a contract basis, candidates should apply keeping that in mind.

A total of 15 vacancies will be filled, spread across departments. They are: Analytics and Decision Science, 2; Operations and Supply Chain Management, 5; Sustainability Management, 2; OBHR Management, 1; Marketing, 2; Finance, Economics and Strategy, 2; and Public Policy, 1.

Candidates must hold a postgraduate qualification in the relevant discipline from a recognised university or institution. A Master's degree, an MBA or a two-year postgraduate diploma will do, but with at least 60 per cent marks. Candidates who have completed a Ph.D. in management or a related subject, or are pursuing one, can also apply.

On age, candidates should be at most 32 years old on the last date for applications. However, the limit may be relaxed up to 35 years for Ph.D. holders or candidates with relevant experience.

Postgraduate candidates will get a stipend of Rs 45,000 to Rs 55,000 a month. Ph.D. holders will be paid Rs 60,000 to Rs 70,000 a month.

Other allowances will also be paid. These include a house rent allowance of Rs 8,000 a month, a travel allowance of Rs 2,000 and Rs 500 for mobile recharge.
