A home recipe using hibiscus flowers is suggested as an alternative to chemical hair treatments for dry hair, dandruff and an itchy scalp in winter.
The weather keeps changing across the state and the country. Some days are sunny and some bring rain. Besides worsening health problems, this also aggravates hair and skin troubles. Hair fall, dry hair, hair breakage and scalp infections become more likely.
When hair problems begin, they are often ignored in the early days. The problem gradually grows and the hair turns dry. Various hair care shampoos sold in the market are then used to make dry hair soft and shiny again, and hair treatments are often done too. However, the recipe advises trying home remedies instead of repeated chemical hair treatments.
According to the recipe, hair turns dry when it loses its natural moisture. With the onset of winter, dandruff appears in the hair and the scalp itches constantly. Persistent dandruff and a growing scalp infection do considerable damage to hair. It therefore suggests making a hair mask from hibiscus flowers instead of using chemical products. The mask is said to help hair growth and make hair softer.
The mask needs hibiscus flowers, cornflower, olive oil, a vitamin E capsule and rosemary oil. First, take water in a vessel, add 8 to 9 hibiscus flowers and set it to boil. Once the water comes to a boil, turn the gas low. Let the flowers simmer until their extract dissolves in the water.
Then pour this hibiscus water into a bowl and add cornflower. Keep heating it until the paste thickens. Next, add olive oil, the vitamin E capsule and rosemary oil and mix everything well.
The prepared mask should be applied after washing the hair thoroughly. Leave it on for 5 to 7 minutes, then rinse it off with lukewarm water. It is said to help make hair soft and shiny. Applying the mask once or twice a week will make hair shinier.
The recipe advises home remedies instead of expensive market products for hair problems. It claims that home remedies do no harm to hair. The information is for general awareness only and makes no claim of treating any condition. It advises consulting a doctor before trying any remedy.
