Hero MotoCorp launches Destiny 110 Classique Edition at Rs 76,400

Ahead of the festive season, Hero MotoCorp, the country's leading two-wheeler maker, has added a new model to its popular family scooter range. The company has launched the new Classique Edition of the Destiny 110 scooter in the Indian market. The edition is priced at Rs 76,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The special model gets neo-retro styling, combining attractive dual-tone colour schemes with modern features. Design changes have been made to give it a distinct identity on the road.

The scooter is available in two new dual-tone colours. The first is 'Matte Goldfish Silver / Light Industrial Grey' with brown inner panels. The second is 'Matte Aries Brown' with black inner panels.

The styling package includes stripes on the front handle cover and side panels, body-colour mirrors, a seat matching the inner panels and branded rim tape. The scooter carries a 3D 'Classique Edition' emblem or badge, which makes it look more premium and stylish than the regular model.

On the engine front, it uses the same 110.9 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Destiny 110. The engine produces 8.15 PS of power at 7,250 rpm and 8.7 Nm of torque at 5,750 rpm. It is paired with an automatic CVT transmission.

The engine is also linked to Hero's patented i3S (idle stop-start) technology. The system helps switch the engine off and restart it in traffic or when stationary, and is useful for improving the scooter's fuel efficiency (mileage) in daily commuting.

With family travel in mind, Hero has given the scooter several practical and modern features. It has a 785 mm long seat, which the company claims is the longest in its segment, making even long rides comfortable.

For a smooth ride, it has 12-inch alloy wheels on both sides and a wide 100/80-12 tyre at the rear. There is a large 19-litre under-seat storage space. At the front is a storage box with a mobile charging socket. A boot lamp is provided so that items can be taken out in the dark.

For safety and better visibility, it has an LED projector headlight, an LED tail lamp and position lamps. The scooter also gets a digital-analogue instrument console with chrome finishing.
