Mits Healthcare Private Limited has gifted new Kia Sonet cars to four of its employees on the occasion of Diwali. The four received the vehicles as this year's Diwali gift.
The event was held on October 24 at a showroom in Panchkula. Company founder M.K. Bhatia and CEO Shilpa Chandel went to the showroom themselves. The two handed over the car keys to the employees personally and wished them a happy Diwali.
The founder said the employees had worked with hard work and dedication throughout the year. He said the reward had been given by the company as the fruit of that effort.
The four employees who received the cars are Nitin Negi, Nirmal, Venus and Gurveer. The information was shared on the official Instagram account of the Mits Group. At the time of delivery, all four cars were covered with black cloth.
Speaking about the move, the company said: "This step shows our thanks and respect for the people whose hard work is taking the company forward."
The question was also raised whether the cars were given entirely free of cost. One employee said he has been working with the company for five years. According to him, instead of treating the scheme purely as a gift of a free car, it is important to understand the financial terms attached to it. No further details of these terms were given.
Instead of a common gift such as sonpapdi, the company chose to hand over car keys, recognising the year-long work of its four employees. The company said it was done in honour of the loyalty and dedication of employees who worked for it throughout the year.
