At the Lalbaugcha Raja pandal, Govinda and Komal Rani took darshan of the deity. Both offered prasad and took part in the puja, during which the priests applied tilak on their foreheads. After coming out from darshan, Govinda waved to the fans gathered there and interacted with them. He appeared happy and smiling throughout. The video of Govinda and Komal Rani taking darshan together is currently going viral on social media, once again fuelling discussion about their alleged closeness.
In August, Govinda and Komal Rani were seen together at the airport, after which speculation about their relationship had intensified. Around the same time, Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja had reportedly made remarks to paparazzi about the alleged affair between Govinda and Komal Rani. Sunita had expressed displeasure over Komal Rani's closeness with Govinda, and had taken a dig at him for stepping out with someone the age of his daughter. Following this, questions had also been raised about the couple's marriage. However, it was later reported that Sunita Ahuja had withdrawn her divorce petition.
