Four Chanda Public School girls picked for national and state sports events

Four girl athletes of Chanda Public School in Chandrapur have been selected for various national and state-level sports competitions. They are Aarohi Nitilkumar Ramteke, Sakhi Pandurang Dorkhande, Drishti Vinod Tajne and Kinjal Premkumar Bhagat. The success has once again highlighted the school's strong standing on the sports field.

Aarohi Nitilkumar Ramteke played well in the divisional volleyball competition, held jointly by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, Maharashtra State, Pune, and the District Sports Council and District Sports Officer's office, Nagpur. On that strength she was selected for the state-level school volleyball competition, played in Ratnagiri from October 28 to 31, 2026. Her performance there was also outstanding, and she has now got the chance to represent Maharashtra in the national-level school volleyball competition.

Sakhi Pandurang Dorkhande was also selected for the state-level school volleyball competition on the strength of good play in the divisional volleyball competition. At the state-level event in Kolhapur, held from October 31 to November 2, 2026, she showed her skill and earned a place in the Maharashtra team for the national-level school volleyball competition. The national event will be held in Shirdi.

Drishti Vinod Tajne has made a name in wrestling. The CBSE Games wrestling competition was held at Sinhagad Public School, Lonavala, Pune, from October 22 to 24, 2026. There she was selected for the national sports competition in the under-17, 50 kg weight category. She will now take part in the national wrestling competition at the Chhatrasal Stadium in Model Town, Delhi, from October 31 to November 5, 2026.

The fourth athlete is Kinjal Premkumar Bhagat. A divisional field athletics competition, including the long jump and triple jump, was held at the District Sports Complex in Chandrapur, jointly by the District Sports Council and the District Sports Officer's office, Nagpur. After a good performance there, Kinjal has been selected for the state-level school sports competition.

The school's director, Smita Sanjay Jivtode, principal Amrapali Padole, teachers and the sports department warmly congratulated the girls on their achievements. All of them also wished the girls well for the upcoming national and state-level competitions.
