The former West Indies all-rounder, now playing in the Nepal Premier League 2026, has completed a double no other player has achieved.

Many surprising records have been set in T20 cricket, but former West Indies player Andre Russell has now done something no one has managed before. Russell is still playing in franchise T20 leagues and is making an impact in the Nepal Premier League 2026.

This season Russell is playing for the Nepal Premier League side Biratnagar Kings. He has always created a stir with his bowling and batting, and this time he has made unique history in T20.

Russell has become the first player to score 10,000 runs and take 500 wickets in T20 cricket. He had already taken more than 500 wickets, and has now completed 10,000 runs as well. No other player in the world had reached this double before. Russell is now 21st on the list of players with 10,000 T20 runs.

England's Jos Buttler is first on that list, with more than 15,000 runs. Russell may soon touch the 550-wicket mark as well.

Russell's career has been outstanding so far, and his dominance in T20 cricket has continued. For West Indies he scored 1,034 runs and took 70 wickets in 56 ODIs. In 85 T20 internationals he has 1,122 runs and 61 wickets. He has played only one Test for West Indies.

Russell has also left his mark in the IPL, where he scored 2,651 runs and took 123 wickets in 139 matches. He has focused mainly on T20 cricket and has played more than 650 T20 matches so far.
