Ferrari ready to raise supercar supplies to India as demand climbs

The Italian luxury carmaker says it is prepared to send India more cars as the number of buyers of expensive sports cars grows.

Italian luxury carmaker Ferrari is preparing to increase the supply of its supercars in India, citing rising demand in the country. The number of Indian customers who want expensive sports cars is growing. The company has said it is ready to give India more cars in line with demand.

Registration figures point the same way. In 2025, 45 Ferraris were registered in India, against 35 in 2024, an increase of 28.6%. Notably, 45 cars were registered in just nine months from January to September 2026, meaning the company has matched the whole of last year's figure in nine months.

Francesco Bianchi, president of Ferrari's Far East and Middle East division, made clear that the decision to raise supply will depend on demand. The company produces cars worldwide and supplies different countries according to a plan fixed in advance. The company has therefore not yet given a firm figure or date for how many more cars India will get and from when.

The company is also watching the free trade agreement between India and the European Union. The pact is expected to reduce import duty gradually on eligible European cars. This could in time affect the prices of some Ferrari models. But the agreement has not yet come into force, so it cannot be said with certainty how far Ferrari prices in India will fall. The final impact will depend on the duty provisions and the company's pricing policy.

The company will also expand its sales and service network in India. Ferrari currently has showrooms and service facilities in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. It plans to start new facilities in Ahmedabad and Chennai as well, and progress is likely by the end of 2026. According to the company, prospective customers are enquiring about models such as the 12Cilindri, Purosangue and Amalfi.

Ferrari's global sales dipped slightly in 2025. Even so, rising demand in India, a possible cut in import duty and new showrooms are making this market increasingly important for the company. Ferrari is trying to strengthen its presence in India while keeping its exclusive identity and the limited availability of its cars.
