Navratri means nine days of devotion, enthusiasm and energy. The different forms of the goddess are worshipped during these days and women's power is celebrated. But Marathi actor Jui Gogari says the celebration of women's power is not limited to the nine days of Navratri; every day belongs to women.

Jui, who plays Asavari, the simple, sweet and much-loved member of the Parab family in the serial 'Sanai Choughade', shared her views on women's power, self-confidence and the importance of fighting for one's dreams. She also said that she goes out to play garba during Navratri if she gets time off.

Speaking on women's power, Jui said that believing in oneself is very important to face life's difficulties. A woman plays many roles at the same time. While handling family responsibilities, she also tries to move ahead in her career. Striking a balance between personal life and career and keeping at it to fulfil her dreams is also women's power, Jui believes.

Jui also stressed that women should never consider themselves lesser. However big the dreams or however many the troubles in life, they can be faced with hard work and self-confidence. Every woman should move towards her goal with faith in her own ability, was the message Jui gave.

Speaking about when she realised the women's power within her, Jui recalled an important episode from her life. She said that during her college days, her family was in the process of getting a new home. At that time, Jui and her sister together handled many responsibilities, from selling the old house to buying the new one.

That experience made Jui realise that even at a young age we can do many big things and that we have that ability within us. According to her, if a woman is determined to do something, she can certainly do it. Every woman should have the confidence of finding a way through, however many obstacles come up.

Talking about the festival of Navratri, Jui also described the tradition in her home. She said, "I am actually a Jain. So, unlike Gujarati people, we do not have a very big Navratri celebration. But we perform aarti at home for our family deity for nine days. Now, because of shooting, I do not get much time for it. But when I have a day off, I definitely go to play garba."

Jui said she enjoys playing garba very much. For her, garba is not just a part of fun but an experience connected with worship of the goddess. According to her, garba brings a kind of purity and a divine feeling to the atmosphere.

On the occasion of Navratri, Jui appealed to every woman to live with self-confidence. She said, "I will always say that these are not just nine days of Navratri that belong to women; every day belongs to women. So live well, do what you want to do and do it with determination. Have the faith in yourself that 'I have to do this', and live accordingly."
