Elon Musk, the world's richest man, has surprised everyone once again. He recently demonstrated a flying car called the Tesla Roadster in Texas, in the United States. Videos of the car flying in the air are spreading fast on social media. He has made real the idea of a flying car that he had seen in his childhood.
The car may be new to the world, but Indian users were quick to make memes so funny that it is hard to keep a straight face. Among the memes doing the rounds, a dialogue of Dinkar Bhosale from the film 'Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy' has gone viral. Memes have also been made on Rohit Shetty from a scene of a car flying through the air in the film 'All the Best'.
One meme says true happiness came into life only twice: first when the country became independent, and second today, when Elon Musk's flying car was seen. The meme shows how Indians express their joy.
In 'Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy', Dinkar Bhosale tells his wife that one day cars will fly. People have cut the same scene from the film to make a meme, the idea being that our Dinkar Bhosale predicted this before Elon Musk did.
The Rohit Shetty meme is being called the best of all. People are saying that a flying car may be new to the world, but in Rohit Shetty's films we see cars flying through the air every day. Users are adding the scene from 'All the Best' in which a car flies through the air to videos, saying Rohit Shetty discovered this technology long ago.
Another meme refers to a South Indian film. The 2015 film 'Ambala' showed a flying car, and that car also fought. Using a clip from that film, people are trolling Musk, saying that his car only flies while theirs also fights.
Some people have even guessed what the next version will be. Remember the car in the film 'Tarzan: The Wonder Car', which drove itself, flew and did everything? People say Musk's next car will be like that. All in all, even if Musk has built a flying car, Indian meme makers have trolled him heavily in their own style. However far technology goes, Indian jugaad and quick wit remain the heaviest.
