The IMD has issued no yellow, orange or red alert for any district on November 6, while Nagpur's air quality index stood at 177.
Maharashtra has a respite from rain for now. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast for Friday, November 6, 2026, says the weather will be dry in most districts of the state, including Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Pune, Nashik and Nagpur. No yellow, orange or red alert has been issued for any district.
The weather has stayed dry across the state since the start of November, and the rain has stopped in most parts. Friday is expected to be no different. There is no specific warning for rain or thunderstorms at present.
Skies are expected to remain clear in Mumbai and surrounding areas. Strong sun during the day may make it feel hot. Mumbai may see a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius and a minimum of about 26 degrees Celsius. Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg will also stay dry, meaning the Konkan region will get relief from rain.
The weather is also expected to be clear in Pune city and the ghat areas. The maximum temperature there may be 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum about 17 degrees Celsius. The afternoon sun will make it feel warm, while mornings and nights will be mildly cool. There is no chance of rain in Nashik, Ahilyanagar, Dhule, Nandurbar and Jalgaon either.
In Vidarbha, the weather is expected to stay dry in Nagpur city as well as Gondia, Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli and Amravati. Nagpur may see a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius and a minimum of about 19 degrees Celsius.
Though the weather is clear, the state of Nagpur's air is a cause for concern. The city recorded an air quality index (AQI) of 177, which falls in the "Poor" category. PM 2.5 stood at 71 and PM 10 at 106. People who are quickly affected by air quality should take care when going out.
There is no chance of rain in Marathwada either. The weather will be dry in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Latur, Nanded and the rest of the region. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is expected to see a maximum of 32 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 17 degrees Celsius.
Overall, the weather is likely to stay dry on November 6 in all four regions: Konkan, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha. Because of the difference between day and night temperatures, mornings and late nights may feel mildly cool.
