Delhi firm gives employees iPhone 16 handsets for Diwali, video goes viral

A private company in New Delhi has posted a video of its Diwali celebrations on its Instagram account, and the clip is widely discussed on social media. The talking point is that the company gave its employees iPhone 16 smartphones as gifts for the festival.

The video shows iPhone 16 handsets placed on employees' desks. In the reel, the phones were decorated with ribbons. Phones in four colours, white, green, blue and black, were neatly arranged on every desk.

At the end of the video, some women employees appear delighted and excited after receiving the gift.

Many companies usually give employees sweets, gift hampers or items of everyday use on Diwali. This company, however, decided to mark the festival by gifting smartphones.

Sharing the video on Instagram, the company wrote in the caption, "No competition. What did you get?" Social media users flooded the comments section with praise as soon as they saw the post. Many also posted humorous responses.

One user commented, "Hire me in your company too... please!" Another wrote, "Call me to your company too." Many users openly praised the employees receiving the iPhone 16 as a Diwali gift.

The video has also started a conversation on how employees' work can be valued, and on what kinds of special gifts companies can give their staff on occasions such as Diwali.
