Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will visit Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Sunday (the 1st), when he will inaugurate several development works in the city. These include a synthetic athletics track and a football ground at the Divisional Sports Complex, built at a cost of Rs 10 crore. The list also includes 34 electric buses of the municipal corporation, EV charging stations and a 100 kW solar power project at Siddharth Garden.

The synthetic athletics track and football ground have been built so that players get modern facilities at the Divisional Sports Complex. The Chief Minister will inaugurate them at 5 pm on Sunday.

During the same visit, the 34 electric buses newly joining the municipal corporation's fleet will also be inaugurated. The buses are said to strengthen the city's public transport system and promote environment-friendly travel. To encourage the use of electric vehicles, EV charging stations have been set up at two places. One is near Gate No. 3 of Connaught Garden, and the other is under the flyover near Baba Petrol Pump at Mahavir Chowk. Both will also be inaugurated.

The 100 kW solar power project built at Siddharth Garden will also be inaugurated as part of the programme. The visit also includes a special initiative for children of municipal corporation schools.

After the programme at the Divisional Sports Complex, about 2,000 students will be taken in these same 34 municipal electric buses to Zabinda Lawns. A historical mega-play titled "Praudh Pratap Purandar" is being staged there, and the students will be shown it. The buses belong to the municipal corporation, and the students are from municipal corporation schools.
