The Central Silk Board (CSB), under the Union Ministry of Textiles, has announced recruitment for the post of Sericulture Assistant. The appointments will be made at various sub-centres of the board, and online applications have been invited from eligible candidates. An official advertisement has been published, and a total of 14 posts will be filled.

The posts are at centres in different states. The largest number, eight, are to be filled at the centre in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Each of the remaining centres has one post.

The single posts are at the Regional Sericultural Research Stations at Dumka (Jharkhand), Bhimtal (Uttarakhand), Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh), Bhandara (Maharashtra), Warangal (Telangana) and Baripada (Odisha). The post at Bhandara is the one open to candidates in Maharashtra.

Applications can be made only online. Interested and eligible candidates should visit https://ctrti.res.in to see the detailed advertisement. The application must be submitted only through the official link https://csb-hiring.in/. The last date for filling the online application is Saturday, October 31, 2026.

As stated in the advertisement, all the posts are purely contractual. They are neither permanent nor temporary government posts. Candidates will therefore have no legal right to regularisation or absorption into service on the basis of this appointment, and should bear this in mind before applying.

The posts are being seen as a good opportunity for candidates who want work experience in the government, agriculture and silk sectors. Eligible candidates have been urged to apply in time without waiting for the last date.
