CBSE releases sample papers, marking scheme for 2027 class 10, 12 boards
CBSE has put out sample question papers and marking schemes for the 2027 class 10 and 12 board exams on its academic website
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released sample question papers (SQP) and marking schemes for the class 10 and 12 board exams for 2027. The material has been made available for the academic year 2026-27. Students can view the subject-wise sample papers and marking schemes on the board's official academic website, cbseacademic.nic.in.
CBSE has put up sample papers and marking schemes on separate webpages for class 10 and 12. Students can download PDFs based on their class and subject. Resources for English, Hindi, Maths, Science, Social Science and other subjects are available on the official website. The subjects available differ by class.
Sample papers are important for students because they help them understand the format of the board exam paper and the structure of the questions. They allow students to practise solving questions in an exam-like setting. Students can also test their ability to solve questions in different subjects within the set time and identify which topics need more preparation.
According to CBSE, the sample question papers serve as a reference for understanding the design of the paper and for covering the entire syllabus. The board has also said they should be used in the teaching and learning process.
The marking scheme released along with the sample papers also plays an important role in exam preparation. It helps students understand which points are awarded marks when answers are checked. After attempting the sample papers, students can review their answers based on the marking scheme and practise correcting mistakes. Looking at the sample papers and marking scheme together helps students better understand how to write answers and how marks are allotted.
Students are still awaiting the official subject-wise timetable for the class 10 and 12 board exams for 2027. As of September 21, 2026, the subject-wise timetable had not been released. Students should keep checking the official CBSE website for updates rather than relying on any unofficial information about timetable dates.
For preparation, students should first download the sample papers for their subjects and practise questions in each subject. They should then check their answers using the marking scheme. Regular practice, time management and revision of weak topics can help students prepare for the board exams in a systematic way. Students should also keep an eye on new updates and notices related to the exams on the official CBSE website.
