CAT 2026 application correction window opens on October 5, limited to three fields
IIM Indore will allow candidates to change only their photograph, signature and exam city preference between October 5 and 6.
There is important news for candidates who have applied for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore will open the application correction window at 10:00 am on October 5, 2026. Candidates who find an error in their application can fix it in this window.
The window will be available from 10:00 am on October 5 to 5:00 pm on October 6. No changes can be made once it closes, so candidates should finish the task in time.
IIM Indore has kept the facility very limited. Candidates can make changes only in the fields the institute has permitted. Three things can be changed in the correction window: the photograph, the signature and the exam city preference.
A candidate who spots an error in the photograph or signature in the application, or who wishes to change the exam city preference, can use the window in the stipulated time. After making changes, the candidate will have to check the application again to confirm that the updated information is correct.
No change can be made to some details. These include the candidate's name, date of birth, registered email address, mobile number, category and educational details. Records relating to Class 10, Class 12 and graduation also cannot be changed during the correction window. A candidate who finds an error in information that is not editable should follow the instructions and contact details given on the official CAT website.
The correction process is online. Step 1: Go to the official CAT website, iimcat.ac.in. Step 2: Click the 'Registered Candidate Login' option on the website. Step 3: Log in with the registered user ID and password. Step 4: Open the CAT 2026 application submitted earlier.
Step 5: Click the 'Correction' or 'Edit' option shown on the dashboard. Step 6: Make the required changes in the fields IIM Indore has permitted. Step 7: After making changes, check all the information carefully again and update the application. Step 8: Keep a copy of the application safe for future reference.
Candidates must read all the conditions carefully so that a wrong photograph or signature is not uploaded while filling the application.
The CAT 2026 admit card will be issued on November 4, 2026. Candidates can download it from the official CAT website. They should check all the information on the downloaded admit card carefully. A candidate whose application has an error in the photograph, signature or exam city preference should correct it within this window.
