Pombhurna police have booked a man and his two sons on a neighbour's complaint of beating a family, including a woman and an eight-year-old girl, with sticks and fists.

Police have registered a case against three people on a complaint of assault on a family in Jam Tukum village of Pombhurna taluka in Chandrapur district. According to police, the incident took place at around 8 pm on Friday, October 30, 2026. The complainant has accused his neighbours of the assault. The accused's side has not yet come forward.

The complainant, Shrikant Ravindra Kamitwar, is 28 and lives in Jam Tukum, Pombhurna. He supports his family by working as a contractor. His father is a peon at Janata Vidyalaya in Pombhurna. According to information from police, Suresh Ganpat Satare and his two sons, Sanket Suresh Satare and Vinod Suresh Satare, live close to Kamitwar's house. All three are accused. The complaint says they often drink and pick quarrels with neighbours for no reason.

According to the complaint, Shrikant had returned home that night from work in Chandrapur in his car (MH 34 BR 1710). He parked the car near the gate beside the house and was walking towards the house when Suresh Satare arrived, drunk. He is alleged to have struck Shrikant on the leg with a stick for no reason.

Shrikant asked why he was being hit. According to the complaint, the accused then said, "Will you get my son a job?" and raked up an old dispute. Shrikant replied that he had never said he would get the man's son a job, and that he had only gone along with him.

The complainant alleges that, enraged by this reply, Suresh Satare took his two sons, Sanket and Vinod, and went straight to the door of their house. According to the allegation, the three grabbed Shrikant by the collar and began beating him badly with fists and a stick. His mother, Jyoti Ravindra Kamitwar, came to intervene on seeing her son being beaten, and Sanket Satare struck her hard on the back with a stick, the complaint says. His elderly father was also pushed and knocked down.

The complaint also states that Shrikant's eight-year-old niece, who came between them to stop the fight, was hit on the finger with a stick and was seriously hurt. Shrikant has sustained severe injuries to his hand, finger and back. His mother also suffered a deep blow to the back. The family says the accused come drunk and keep threatening to kill them, and the whole family is therefore in fear.
