BPSC TRE 4.0: applications open for 32,388 teacher posts in Bihar

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced a major teacher recruitment drive. Under the fourth phase of the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE 4.0), a total of 32,388 posts have been advertised for government schools in Bihar.

Eligible candidates can apply online on the BPSC website, bpsc.bihar.gov.in.

The commission has issued advertisement number 15/2026 for this recruitment, with full details available on its website. The online application process began on September 25, 2026, and will close on October 26, 2026, giving candidates about a month to apply. The last date to pay the examination fee is October 25. Candidates have been advised to pay the fee before filling the form to avoid last-minute problems.

The 32,388 posts are divided into four levels. The first group has 3,847 posts for classes 1 to 5. The second group has 8,563 posts for classes 6 to 8. The third group has 3,877 posts for classes 9 and 10. The fourth and largest group has 16,101 posts for classes 11 and 12, meaning more than half the total posts are for these two classes.

Candidates must first visit the BPSC official website and click on the TRE 4.0 link. They need to register with their name, mobile number and other details, after which they will receive a login ID and password. They can then fill in personal and educational details in the online application, pay the application fee online, check the form carefully and submit it. Candidates have been advised to save a printout or PDF of the submitted form for future use.

Given the scale of the recruitment, competition is expected to be high. Candidates who hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed and are eligible have been advised to apply as soon as possible, since the process began on September 25.
