Nagpur will host events from November 2 to 5, ending with a padyatra led by CM Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, said Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.

The BJP is running a 'Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy' campaign across the country. According to the party, its aim is to make people aware of democratic institutions, constitutional processes and the SIR, and also to respond to what it calls misleading propaganda by the Opposition. Public awareness programmes, dialogues, padyatras, press conferences and events involving youth are being held in different parts of the country until November 5.

Several events will be held in Nagpur too between November 2 and 5. Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule gave the details at a press conference. He said a special meeting has been arranged on November 2 with the city's social media influencers. It will also discuss how correct information about democracy can be taken to people through social media.

According to Bawankule, a speech competition for students and youth will be held on November 3. Participants will speak on issues such as the country's current political developments, the democratic system, constitutional institutions and the anarchy being created against them.

A 'Yuva Samvad' programme will be held at Chitnavis Ground on November 4, with about 5,000 young people expected to attend. Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane will be the chief speaker.

The campaign will conclude in Nagpur on November 5 with a large padyatra, to be led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. About 15,000 to 20,000 people are expected to take part. The padyatra will start from Yashwant Stadium and reach Samvidhan Chowk. A public meeting addressed by the Chief Minister will follow, and the campaign will end with it.

The plan is large at the national level as well. Padyatras will be taken out in all metropolitan cities and district headquarters. The plan is for two to three padyatras in each metropolis and at least one at each district headquarters. The target is to draw about 10,000 people to each padyatra.

In addition, a 'Rashtra Chintan Samvad' will be held in every Assembly constituency in the country. About 200 intellectuals, professors, doctors, lawyers, businesspeople, social workers and people from various other fields will be invited.

City president Dayashankar Tiwari, Mayor Neeta Thakre, and MLAs Krishna Khopde, Parinay Fuke and Sanjay Bhende were present at the press conference. Ruling party leader Balya Borkar, Shrikant Agalawe, Ritesh Gawande, Vishnu Changde, Jaiprakash Gupta, Archana Dehankar, Pawan Tiwari, Vaibhav Bawankar and some others were also there.
