He said Chandrapur district's contribution among the districts that donated gold for the country during the India-China war was a matter of pride. He said Navratri is not merely a religious festival. It is a sacred occasion that, along with the worship of Shakti, inspires respect for women. He said a family, society and nation progress only through respect for women, so everyone should take a pledge this Navratri to respect women. He said women are a strong foundation of social progress, and giving them respect and equal opportunities is the need of the hour. She expressed the view that giving girls a safe environment and instilling confidence in them is everyone's duty in society.
