Bhadravati writer Dr Dnyanesh Hatwar's book on Gramgeeta wins Shristhanak Sahitya Puraskar

Bhadravati writer Prof. Dr Dnyanesh Hatwar's book "Gramgeetetil Krantidarshitva" has been announced as this year's winner of the Shristhanak Sahitya Puraskar. The award is given by the Marathi Granth Sangrahalaya, Thane, and is regarded as a prestigious honour.
Every year the Sangrahalaya recognises different kinds of writing by authors, with the aim of encouraging writers. This is the eighth year of the awards, and each time notable works in 15 different literary genres are honoured.
Dr Hatwar's book is on the Gramgeeta of the revered Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj. The Gramgeeta is regarded as a formula for rural development. The book explains how much society, at every level, needs the ideas Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj set out in the Gramgeeta in today's hectic life. It also shows how the Rashtrasant's ideas are progressive, grounded in science and in reason, and why they are essential for the advancement of society.
The Marathi Granth Sangrahalaya, Thane, took note of the book and announced the award. The state-level award was announced during the "Abhijat Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Saptah". It will be presented at the Marathi Granth Sangrahalaya, Thane, on October 25, 2026, by dignitaries and senior writers.
Several people have congratulated Dr Hatwar since the announcement. They include senior writer and critic Principal Dr Shyam Moharkar, senior writer Pratima Ingole, Vinatai Moharkar and Dr Savita Sadamwar, head of the Marathi department at Gondwana University, Gadchiroli. Dr Vivek Shinde, president of the Bhadravati Shikshan Sanstha, Bhadravati, secretary Dr Kartik Shinde, joint secretary Dr Vishal Shinde, Nilimatai Shinde and trustee Dr Jayant Wankhede also offered their congratulations.
Also congratulating him were Dr Paramanand Bawankule, Dr Ram Wasekar, Principal Dr Sudhir Mote, publisher Parag Lonkar (Pune), Dr Vitthal Chauthale (Gadchiroli), Dr Pandurang Kand (Pune), Prof. Balasaheb Mane (Mumbai), Prof. Yash Pawar (Yavatmal), Dr Shalinitai Telrandhe (Nagpur), Pawan Katre (Gondia), Sanjay Lengure (Bhandara), Principal Subhash Parise, Prof. Arun Meshram and Prof. Omprakash Dhore (Amravati) and Namdev More (Chandrapur).
