AIIMS opens INI-CET PG medical applications for January 2027 session

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has started the online application process for the INI-CET January 2027 session. The exam is held for admission to postgraduate courses such as MD, MS, M.Ch, DM and MDS at AIIMS New Delhi and other institutes of national importance across the country. Eligible candidates can apply on the AIIMS website, aiimsexams.ac.in. The last date to apply is October 13, 2026. The exam will be held on November 1, 2026 in computer based test (CBT) mode.

Candidates must complete the registration process for the INI-CET January 2027 session by October 13, 2026. After filling the form, students will be able to check their application status between October 17 and October 19. The final online registration status and admit cards will be released on October 26, 2026.

The exam will be conducted in CBT mode, with a total of 200 objective type questions. Candidates will get 3 hours, or 180 minutes, to answer all the questions. Under the marking scheme, one mark will be given for every correct answer, while one third of a mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Candidates will need to be careful while answering, as wrong answers will result in a deduction. However, unattempted questions will neither earn marks nor result in any deduction.

For the application fee, candidates from the general and OBC categories will have to pay Rs 4,000, while the fee for SC, ST and EWS candidates is Rs 3,200. The fee can be paid online through credit card, debit card or net banking.

Candidates must first visit the official AIIMS website, aiimsexams.ac.in. They then need to click on the INI-CET registration link and select their course. Registration must be completed by filling in details such as date of birth, category and email ID. Registration details will be sent to the registered email ID. Candidates must then fill in all the information sought in the form and upload the required photographs in the specified format. The form must be submitted after paying the fee online. After submitting the form, candidates should download the confirmation page and keep it safe for future reference.
