8.85 lakh Class 11 seats still vacant in Maharashtra as final special round closes on September 29
Of 22.49 lakh Class 11 seats in Maharashtra, 13.63 lakh have been filled; students allotted seats in the last special round must confirm admission by 6 pm today.
The first phase of the academic year in Maharashtra is nearing its end, yet the Class 11 admission process is still under way. After three regular rounds, special rounds have continued, and a final special round has now been announced.
Seats have been allotted in this round. Students can confirm admission at their respective colleges until today, September 29. Details of vacant seats will be released on October 1.
The state has 22 lakh 49 thousand 79 Class 11 seats in 9,718 junior colleges. So far, 13 lakh 63 thousand 438 students have confirmed admission, which leaves 8 lakh 85 thousand 641 seats vacant. A total of 15 lakh 62 thousand 859 Class 10 pass students have registered for admission.
Of 19 lakh 22 thousand 829 seats in the centralised online admission process, 11 lakh 95 thousand 405 have been filled. Of 3 lakh 26 thousand 250 quota seats, admissions have been made on 1 lakh 68 thousand 33. According to the figures, 7 lakh 27 thousand 424 seats in the centralised online process and 1 lakh 58 thousand 217 quota seats are vacant.
Director of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Dr Mahesh Palkar said messages were sent to students on all three days, the 25th, 26th and 27th, so that no student is left without admission. Those who have not yet taken admission should do so. He said that if a student does not take admission this time too, the student will be responsible.
The schedule of the last special round is as follows. Admission confirmation will take place from September 28 to 29, from 3 pm to 6 pm today. Junior college work will be reserved for September 30. Data processing will be done on October 1, and vacant seats will be displayed at 4 pm the same day.
