Pune airport will now have a daily direct flight to Bhubaneswar. According to information from Viman Nagar, the service will begin on October 25. The Winter Schedule 2026-27 comes into effect on Sunday, and the flight is part of it.

IndiGo will operate the new service. It will open a direct air route between Pune and Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha. For people travelling between western and eastern India, it will be one more option.

Under the schedule approved by the DGCA, 235 slots a day are available at Pune airport. Airlines have already taken 216 of them. Pune airport currently has direct connectivity to 35 destinations. The Winter Schedule is expected to give passengers more options and support travel related to business, education, tourism, trade and industry.

Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol said the new daily service would strengthen connectivity between Pune and Bhubaneswar.

Mohol said, "With the start of a new daily direct flight between Pune and Bhubaneswar from October 25, 2026 under the Winter Schedule 2026-27, air connectivity between these two important cities will be strengthened further."

He also said the service would make travel for business, tourism and education easier, promote cultural exchange and add to passenger convenience.

The flight is expected to benefit businesspeople, professionals, students and tourists travelling between the two cities. Until now, travellers had to take connecting flights from other cities; this will be a direct alternative.

With 216 of the 235 daily slots going to airlines, Pune airport remains an important aviation hub for Maharashtra. It meets the growing passenger traffic and travel needs of the region.

Pune airport said it is committed to safe, efficient and passenger-friendly operations in coordination with airlines, the regulatory authority, security agencies and other stakeholders.
