Shiv Sena animal welfare wing holds Paw-Ratri 2026 in Mumbai; free animal ambulance planned for North Mumbai

The Shiv Sena Animal Welfare Force organised an event called 'Paw-Ratri 2026' in Mumbai. It was dedicated to raising awareness in society about animal welfare, compassion and the safety of stray and pet animals.

The event was started by the Shiv Sena Animal Welfare Force and is backed by corporator Raj Prakash Surve. Animal lovers, people associated with welfare work and some prominent political leaders came together at it. Its aim was to promote a life filled with compassion and collective effort.

'Paw-Ratri' was not merely an event but a celebration of compassion, community and people's bond with animals. More than 200 pets and 400 people gathered under one roof. The presence of Milind Deora, Dr Manisha Kayande and Prakash Surve made the evening more special.

Corporator Raj Prakash Surve said, "I am proud to say that a dedicated, free 'animal ambulance' service for stray and pet animals will soon start in North Mumbai. This will let animals in the area get emergency help in time." The free service will thus soon be available to stray and pet animals in North Mumbai.

Rajya Sabha MP Milind Deora said, "I too love animals very much, and I have two pets. We should encourage and support the politicians who work for voiceless creatures that have no right to vote, that is pets, other animals and birds. Since they cannot vote, I especially thank Raj Prakash Surve and Sanket Bhatt..." This is how Deora expressed his feelings.

Several senior leaders took an active part in the event. They expressed firm support for expanding animal welfare initiatives further at the civic and state levels.

The 'Shiv Sena Animal Welfare Force' is a dedicated wing. It focuses on animal safety, rescue work, veterinary welfare drives and advocacy for public policy across Maharashtra.
