NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital for further tests on Wednesday, hours after being discharged from Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune.

NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday. This came on the same day he had been discharged from hospital a few hours earlier.

Pawar's daughter and NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule shared the information on the social media platform X. She wrote that the senior leader was being admitted for further tests. "We are admitting Baba to Breach Candy Hospital for further tests. Thank you all for your concern and good wishes," Sule wrote.

Sule's post came only a few hours after Pawar was discharged. Earlier, Pawar had been admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune on November 2. He had complained of a cough and was feeling discomfort in the chest.

It has been stated that doctors examined him after he complained of chest pain while coughing and breathing. He was kept under observation as a precaution.

Dr Parvez K. Grant, chief cardiologist, chairman and managing trustee of Ruby Hall Clinic, issued an official statement. According to the statement, Pawar's condition had improved and he was stable at the time of discharge. His medical reports were also described as satisfactory.

After being discharged on Wednesday, Pawar had left for his home in Mumbai. Doctors had advised him to rest for a few days before returning to public events.

Earlier the same day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had phoned Pawar to ask about his health. Vitthal Maniyar, a family friend and close associate of Pawar, confirmed the call while speaking to reporters outside the hospital. He said Modi had told Pawar with great warmth to give his health first priority and take complete rest.

According to Maniyar, Prime Minister Modi told Pawar, "Supriya and we will look after the country. Take care of your health and rest. May your blessings remain with us."

Pawar thanked Modi for calling and assured him that he was resting. He said, "With all of you around, I have no worry about the country."

Supriya Sule's post says only that Pawar has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital for further tests, and does not specify which tests.
