Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured a Kisan Sabha delegation that technical problems blocking about 81 lakh women's e-KYC would be removed and payments released.

There is a major update on the Chief Minister's Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana. About 81 lakh women beneficiaries in the state may get a Diwali gift, it is being said. For one reason or another, these women had not been able to complete their KYC. Many of them were women from tribal and poor families. They may now soon receive the Rs 1,500 honorarium.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has assured that these women will get the Rs 1,500 instalment. According to information, Fadnavis gave the assurance while speaking to a delegation of workers and farmers at the Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai.

The All India Kisan Sabha had taken out a march demanding justice for workers and farmers. As the march was moving towards Mumbai, Chief Minister Fadnavis called the marchers' delegation for a meeting. A detailed discussion with the delegation was held at the Sahyadri Guest House under Fadnavis's chairmanship. Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar and ministers of five key departments were present at the meeting. Secretaries of various departments also attended.

Along with the problems of farmers, the Kisan Sabha also raised the issue of the beneficiary women. The Kisan Sabha stressed that many women in the state had not been able to complete the e-KYC process, and also set out the technical hurdles.

During the discussion, the Chief Minister offered relief to women whose e-KYC is stuck or pending. An assurance was given that the process of depositing money in the bank accounts of all eligible women who had not completed their documents or e-KYC would be completed. The Chief Minister assured that the technical problems of about 81 lakh women would be resolved. This has opened the way for Rs 1,500 to be deposited in these women's accounts. It is also learnt that the administration has been directed to act on this immediately.

The 81 lakh women who have been denied the financial benefit because their KYC was not done will be brought back into the scheme. The KYC process will continue, and the portal, which is currently shut, will be restarted. For women whose KYC has not been done, or who are not receiving the honorarium even after KYC, the process of getting it to them soon will begin. This will bring major relief to many beneficiaries.
