A new Marathi serial about relationships, belonging, love and humanity is set to premiere soon. Titled 'Dhaktya Sunbai', the show will feature two families, their differing outlooks and the complexities of their relationships. It will air daily at 6:30 pm from September 28 on Zee Marathi.

The story revolves around Radhika and Vedant, and shows through their lives how the support of loved ones and trust in relationships gives meaning to life.

Radhika was found as a child on the steps of a Krishna temple. She grew up as the adopted daughter of Appa and Nirmala. Appa raised her as his own, considering her a gift from Krishna. Simple, sociable and spirited by nature, Radhika is always ready to help others. But the family's elder aunt still considers her an outsider. Because of this, despite receiving love at home, Radhika continues to search for her real family and her own people. She shares her sorrows openly with Krishna and considers him her closest friend. On the other side is Vedant of the Patwardhan family, heir to 'Aradhana', a business dealing in worship items, perfume and incense sticks. Sensible, cultured and responsible, Vedant places great importance on his family's traditions.

Raised under the discipline and beliefs of his mother Damayanti, Vedant begins grappling with a new question after Radhika's entry into his life: is a person's identity shaped by blood and lineage, or by their heart? Because of Radhika, Vedant begins a journey of viewing his own beliefs from a new perspective.

Actress Chinmayee More plays Radhika in 'Dhaktya Sunbai', while actor Mandar Jadhav will be seen as Vedant. Through the relationships between the two families, the show will bring out different facets of love, belonging, trust and humanity. 'Dhaktya Sunbai', centred on relationships and humanity, will be seen daily at 6:30 pm from September 28 on Zee Marathi.
