Actor Yami Gautam and director Aditya Dhar have reportedly decided to leave Mumbai and settle in Himachal Pradesh. The couple are National Film Award winners. They are said to want a quiet life away from the limelight, and will continue to travel to Mumbai for work, the report says.

According to the report, the two have made Gohar in Himachal's Mandi district their permanent home. Yami was born in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, and has a special bond with the state. Before their marriage, she had bought a heritage house of about 100 years, built on 25 acres of land in Gohar. The house is tied to her family and childhood memories.

Yami and Aditya were married at this place on June 4, 2021. Built of wood and stone, the house is surrounded by orchards and greenery. Apples, potatoes, plums and ginger are grown here. The report says the couple have decided to keep its simple, natural character as it is rather than turn it into a lavish celebrity bungalow.

Aditya Dhar has always preferred to stay somewhat away from fame. His popularity has grown after the success of "Dhurandhar" and "Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge", yet he is rarely seen at public events. This is why he is said to have chosen a peaceful life in Himachal, away from the glitz of Mumbai's film world.

Earlier, Yami and Aditya lived in a large rented apartment in Khar West, Mumbai. During the promotion of "Dhurandhar", Aditya, referring to his home, had said in jest, "My house is on Chitrakar Dhurandhar Marg." Reports later emerged that the apartment had been bought. There has been no official confirmation from the couple on the news of making Himachal their permanent home.

The two recently attended the National Film Awards ceremony at Ekta Nagar in Gujarat. There, Yami received the National Award for Best Actress for her performance in "Article 370". Aditya Dhar was honoured with a National Award as producer of the same film.

Yami and Aditya became parents to a son in May 2024. The couple have decided to keep their son away from publicity. Yami shared a photograph with her son on social media in September 2025, but care was taken there too that the child's face was not visible. For the couple, who keep their personal life private, the Himachal home is becoming a calm and peaceful option, the report says.
